Spring Racing 2019

Spring Racing will be upon us in no time at all. And with it, the beginning of the party season. Kick off the season with a bold and breathtaking look! Choose from our range of designer dresses, jumpsuits and accessories – and don’t forget the biggest rule of Cup Carnival – HAVE FUN!!

Here are some of our top tips to keep in mind when choosing your outfit this Melbourne Cup.

  1. Be Bold. Racing season is the perfect occasion to let your inner fashionista out! Fashion on the fields favour the adventurous and daring. Think colour, prints, and unexpected finishes!
  2. Accessories, Accessories, Accessories! Spring Fashion is all about the embellishments. Hats, jewellery and shoes can take centre stage, whilst your clothing can remain flattering and coordinated. The sky is the limit when it comes to your Spring Racing Accessories. Shop our range of accessories here.
  3. Think outside the box! Not all outfits need to be a dress. In recent years our favourite looks have come from those brave enough to step away from a skirt. Jumpsuits and two piece sets allow for a playful and comfortable day! Shop our range of jumpsuits here.
  4. Be creative with your headpiece. Hats, headbands, flowers and bows are all acceptable and make a courageous statement that allows your own style to shine through! Shop our range of headpieces here.

And don’t forget the specific race day dress codes!

VAMFF 2019

The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival marks the beginning of the year’s Fashion activities, and one we were happy to attend! It’s a noteworthy addition-VAMFF is open to the public-allowing anyone and everyone to get dressed up and get involved. This ‘opens the door’ for fashion enthusiasts with ambition, flair and a pinch of courage to make a splash and preen their feathers alongside the industries more celebrated personalities. Located within the iconic Royal Exhibition Hall, VAMFF attracted a cast of Australia’s biggest designers, stylists, bloggers and personalities. Melbourne put on the charm with gorgeous Autumn days, the usual abundance of good food and wine and plenty of fashion fun. See our favourite looks and details from the street and on the runway below.

The trends: Oversized Jackets over summery slips and minis. Statement hair accessories. Monogrammed cross-body bags. Floor length prints. Feature footwear.
